Students will research one of the various Antebellum Reform Movements (abolition, women's rights, temperance, institutional, literature/art, utopian communities, religious revival) and create a Wiki-webpage that carefully examines the reform movement and can serve as a study aid for others.
Students will develop a stronger understanding of teh Great Depression and the New Deal through their participation in a mock trial of FDR (related to his handling of the Great Depression). Students will create and research relevant witnesses, create/perform witness testimony. Depending on class size, some students may also play the role of juror and/or reporter.
Students will select a research topic related to U.S. History, develop a research question, and develop a thesis and argument. The student's argument will then be communicated via a traditional research paper, a Wikispace webpage, or a video.
